So Marissa hosts this every year I've been at PPT. And although I haven't been too active here lately, I've noticed that there was no Secret Santa this year. But I'd like to continue this tradition. :P Even if it's a little late. For those of you who haven't participated before, basically everybody signs up makes a set for somebody, but also receives a set from their secret Santa. You must know how to make a set (save images, etc...), but it doesn't matter how good you are. It's the thought that counts. :D

So sign up here please. :) And post a list of a few things you'd like on a set. I'd say a list of around 5 is good, but you can do as many, or as little, as you want. Deadline to join is December 16th. I'd then like to give people about a week to finish their sets, so the whole thing should wrap up sometime around December 23rd or 24th.

I will participate in the secret Santa too. :) Sets will be made for the people whose secret Santas didn't have a chance to make one. Those who do not submit their set by the deadline without any explanations (PMs to me, please) as to why will have their set withheld for a week. I will also contact Rachel, as moderator of this section, considering its rather unfair for someone to free load when everyone else puts effort into sets.

Participants:
Pixa
StuMan
Nikita
May
Siniri
WIS
Rachel
John
DM
Byakuya
Katherine
Loser
Zilary
Medli
bluehawaii19
vieaira

My likes:
The Killers
No Doubt
Bloc Party
MGMT
Gwen Stefani

Evidently I feel the need for a musical set this year.

WIS is busy this year, he says. And I was concerned for its well being.

So if someone made a set for you, would it incorporate all of those 5 things in one set or would it be like a single themed set eg. the killers?

Yes this means I would like to participate. Mainly to get rid of my servere boredom.

My likes:

KISS
Pokemon
Bleach
Dragonball/Z/GT
Horror

Usually you pick one item of interest from the list and make something from that (just gives people more to work with). Though I'm sure if someone wanted to, they could make a set with more than one item from the list and incorporate them together.

I would love to participate. :)

Interests:
Britney Spears (Circus)
House (the tv show)
Desperate Housewives
Sailor Moon (Sailor Venus and Pluto are my favourites)
Wintery images (though not Christmasy)

Hmm... I think it would be fun to do this again :) Although, in all honesty, I don't know if I can get my set done by the 23rd or 24th just because of traveling and such with no access to graphics programs. A few days later, definitely though!

As for my interests:

Music and/or musicians (Ani DiFranco, Jack Johnson, Led Zeppelin, and Ben Folds are my particular favorites at the moment)
Heroes (The television show - My favorite characters are probably Claire, Peter, and Hiro)
Royal Girl Zafaras (Neopets - or anything else that looks pretty)
Maple Story
Anything else that looks good, but has a nice quote.

I'm all about subtexts on signatures. I'd rather have a good subtext than my username all over everything :)

Edited to change some interests and give more detail

I'm interested, but I've never actually made a set before. I do have a little experience in Paint and Photoshop (though I don't have access to the latter right now). So if it's true that it's the thought that counts, sign me up.

*will insert my list here after finals (before names are exchanged)*
ETA: Okay, exams aren't done, but I just turned in the big one, and I need a break. And seriously, how hard is it to list 5 things I like? So here goes:

1) the beach (I prefer natural beaches) -- or any other kind of water (whitewater-rafting, etc.)
2) Irish stepdancing (not Riverdance, and not the poofy wigs and obnoxious dresses, but a nice picture of ghillies, maybe someone leaping would be nice) -- text could be (but doesn't have to be) "Irish dancers kick..." or "Dance as if no one were watching"
3) trail-running/hiking/woods/nature
4) epidemiology/microbes/public health
5) the Irish language (text could say: "Gaeilge beo!" or "Labhair í!" or "Tóg é bog é!" which sorta mean "Long live Irish" and "Speak Irish!" and "Take it easy" respectively -- or even "Nollaig shona duit" (Merry Christmas))
6) oh, yeah, monkeys and apes and lemurs, oh my! (but not clothed, please)

Any text or no text is fine. My username can be written either sínírí (with accent aigus over all the i's) or siniri. Hopefully I've come up with enough different ideas that Santa will find something he can enjoy working on. I'm sure I'll like whatever I get. Thanks for organizing, Pixa!

Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!

I'm in.

TEXT ON AVATAR & SIGNATURE: DM, DM! or DM was on fire! for avatar. DM was on fire! or text that goes with the image. (AND JUST SO WE'RE CLEAR: It's DM was on fire!. DM is the only thing capitalised [and both letters are] It's not DM was on Fire!, DM Was on Fire!, Dm was on fire!, or any other variation that you can think of. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just a perfectionist like that.)
SUBTEXT: All of my sets have, in some way, lyrics from a song. Here's, in a nutshell, my playlist. Go crazy.
WHAT I LIKE:

- Kakashi Hatake
- Gavin Rossdale's "Love Remains the Same" video <-- I can't seem to make anything decent out of the screenshots. Maybe you'll have better luck.
- Family Force 5
- Suzumiya Haruhi
- Rin and Len Kagamine
- Fred and George Weasley/Oliver and James Phelps
- House (the TV show)

Basically, anything you've seen me running around with for the past year. XD

3. Pushing Daisies
4. Starbucks
5. Old-fashioned typewriters

No Byakuya sets this year, please.

Oh wait, almost forgot:
7. Old-school Final Fantasy (I-VI. DS Remakes are fair ground too.)
