This step - by - step guide will tell you how to complete each level perfectly, with added advice in getting bonus points. Neomail me if you have any suggestions for this page, or if there is anything you think I should add or change.

Oooh... what a wicked Ruki. He has stolen all the dice from all the board games in Neopia! Think of all the children on Christmas morning who won't be able to play their christmas presents! No more Adventures in Neopia, no more NeoQuest: The Board Game... just boring old TV :(

You must enter his evil dimension and free the dice! Control each dice by using the arrow keys. The topmost face of the dice must match the exit tile in order to finish the level. Every move that you take will make your bonus smaller, so try and complete the levels as quickly as possible. You will lose a life if time runs out, and you only get three lives.

To get the Dice Escape avatar, just send a score of 1,000 points or more; it must be one of your first three submitted scores of the day. It's easy with the help of this guide!

Lives and Points
Lives : You have three lives per game. You will lose one if you run out of time, restart a level or land on a lava tile. Losing all three lives will end the game. There are no bonuses for completing the game with extra lives.
Time : You are given 59 seconds to complete each level, which is plenty of time. If you do manage to run out, you will lose one of your three lives. You will receive a 'Time Bonus' of 19 points if you complete it with all 59 seconds intact (use the 'reset time' cheats below), but lose a point for every 3 seconds spent.
Round Pts : The less moves you make in the game, the more points you end the game with. You start each level with 100 'Round Points', but for every move you make you lose 4. You will not lose a life if you reach zero round points.
Coin Pts : Each stage contains a random coin which will award you an extra 5, 10 or 25 points. They are always positioned in the same place on the board.

Tips
1. If you collect a coin in a level and then restart it, you still keep the points from the first coin collected. So to trade your lives for loads of extra points, restart a level after collecting a 25 point coin; you can only do this twice per game (using your three lives). A note is added on the guides for these levels.
2. It is only worth collecting the coins that reward you with more points than the ones you sacrifice for taking the steps (and the loss of time bonus) to collect it. It is pretty obvious, but a common mistake. The paths to take for the more valuable coins are included if they come up.
3. Attention! If you minimize the window at any time, your game will automatically end!
4. You need a good connection to the internet and a computer that can run the game fast, otherwise you will lose a lot of points from your time bonus.
5. The game occasionally 'flips' the maps from level 2 so that the directions don't always work. The best thing to do here is to just restart the game.

Step-by-Step Guide
These are the directions to take to complete each level of Dice Escape in the minimum amount of moves, maximizing your 'Round Points'. I have also noted some tips on the guide to help you along. Make sure you have a read before starting each level.
I have not repeated the steps for coins that use the same path. For example, if you play a level with a 25 PC and I have not given you any steps then use the route for the coin immediately above (5 or 10 PC).

Tip: It's the last level! If you have any lives remaining, collect the coin (regardless of value) in the top right corner and restart the level.

Further Tips
6. If you are reading the step - by - step guide while playing it may be worth having a second person watching the game to tell you if the coins are worth picking up according to my guide. This may save you a few seconds.
7. The 'flybywire' and 'topdown' cheats have no real benefit, so don't waste your time using them.
8. Not really a tip, but a suggestion: If you manage to get yourself a high-score trophy in the game, please do not attempt to get it again when the high-score tables are reset. It's nice for other players to achieve them too and keeps it fun for everyone.
