Hello ice_creema876! Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated. PPT is currently being completely revamped so yes, the menu system is currently being worked on and things categorized properly to make navigation easier and intuitive.

Thanks for pointing out difficult areas of navigation. I'll fix that.

I'd run a CMS but the task of switching everything over is actually very daunting. I'm quite scared lol. There's about 2,000 pages of content and to switch everything over... my head spins just thinking about it!!

Entire layout will be switched to DIV of course. I just used tables out of force of habit.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('179','Kym Huynh','Hello ice_creema876!
Today, for the first time in a long while, I visited PPT, and was pleasantly surprised by the minimalist layout. It's functional and a lot quicker to browse through; it also seems a bit less cluttered (though the gradient tabs could be toned down a bit ^^; ). However, finding articles seems to still be a confusing process :S There are several broken links in the Neopets Online sidebar module (haha, Neopets '2.0' is getting to me), and when I browsed through the Featured Articles from the past, none of them were listed in an easily accessible/visible location. Where are the articles located, exactly?

I'm not hating on PPT; I understand that you have an unfathomable amount of content. So why don't you have a quality CMS? I'd suggest Textpattern, but I haven't actually used it yet (I've been having fun customizing the admin panel). I hear it's a lot more minimal than WordPress and easier to use, and it seems like the site wouldn't need all the plugins, etc. WP has. At the very least, creating some directories and organizing your content would be a really good idea (: Switching over to a CMS, whether WP or Txp, would create a much easier browsing experience. Plus, if you do switch over, you'll be looking through all the pages and could delete outdated stuff.

Oh, and for testing purposes, you can always muck about at opensourcecms.com (: Great site, that one is.

I'd also like to say this: div-based layouts for the win! There is no reason PPT should be using a table-based layout for its homepage; that's so 1999! ;P

(D: I just realized that part of this was covered in previous comments on previous blog posts. Drat. Ah well, I suppose you get another vote for switching the whole site over, then :P It is summer, after all... and I'll be a willing volunteer!)
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('180','ice_creema876','Today, for the first time in a long while, I visited PPT, and was pleasantly surprised by the minimalist layout.
