Well here it is in all it’s glory. Pretty amazing right? Eh it’s OK. As you can see I have my trademarkish coke and my fancy new mic and pop filter! I’ve got my Darth Vader mouse pad from destroying the Death Star in Disney World. But yeah, not too much thats too cool.
I return after vista broke the sound on my laptop. We just finished recording episode 47, here is a picture of me.
Myself, Jonny Blackler, Helena McCoy and Lee just finished recording episode 47 for The PPT Show! What a rocking episode! We finally figured out how to do live recordings and wow… we were smashing!! Our shows will now be recorded live and released approximately 30 minutes after the show recording ends at 4 PM NST each week.
With Lee upgrading her recording equipment and the show reaching the 50 episode milestone, it is only fitting that The PPT Show Recording Studio is upgraded as well. Starting with a new mixing program that allows live recording, Lee and myself got together on a whim and recorded episode 46 of The PPT Show: The Dr. Sloth Plot Decoder Program Outrage Edition.
Gosh upgrading wasn’t all that easy. First I had to learn how to use the new program and then there was a lot of tinkering to make sure it works. This one seems to have worked so far… we’ll see tomorrow when we host the full roster for The PPT Show.
Phew! With the new release of the Neopets plot - “The Return of Dr. Sloth” - and all the forum events and new boards being introduced, the PPT community is a hive of activity from the PPTbies2008 to the first forum contest with a real prize… a Nintendo DS and a choice of a game! A few new events are about to be unleashed into the world of PPT and there’s just so many things to talk about but not enough time to sit here and gather my thoughts so I think for the next few days… I’ll need to take a chill pill to re-organize my thoughts before forging ahead.
What we are planning however is a major re-organisation of the entire website to make the front page your one one shop for the latest Neopets-related updates, and then we’ll introduce a PPT Community Portal to feature all the exciting features PPT has to offer. We’ll also introduce a few new features on the main site to draw together all the departments at PPT; there are so many ideas flying around PPT that it’s getting hard to keep up.
The host images and photos for The PPT Show have been added to the website (we now have a full banner with the exception of Helena to be added yay!) and I’m releasing all the back log of episodes we have woo! Starting this Friday 3 PM NST when we record episode 47 of The PPT Show, we’ll be switching systems to a live recording and we’ll be releasing episodes the same day as they are recorded.
