Hi everyone! How are you all doing! I’m writing to you all from The PPT Show recording studio AKA my study room where I do the majority of my academic procrastination! Today we recorded episode 34 of The PPT Show, did an exclusive one-on-one mono-e-mono interview with Dave Moyer from www.neocast.org, and also one with Jonny Blackler, two of the most popular The PPT Show hosts ever.
If you’ve been on the main website over the past few days, you will have noticed that the website design changed once again to something a little more friendlier and closer to home. This update should explain the reasons for it. Basically, I felt like the previous changes were a bit too drastic, and while I liked the new features that were available, there were still a lot of bugs and kinks that needed to be worked out so they will be done quietly in the background whilst the current website remains online and open.
In other news, I’ve finally cleaned up my room again and here are some photos of The PPT Show recording studio and some happy snaps from around my room! Enjoy!

This is a photo of my desk with the 20-inch iMac on the left. I heartily reccomend the iMac and any Apple related products for that matter because they are super sexy.
This is where I do all my study and academic work. Notice the orange juice? We promote healthy eating and drinking people!

What’s on the screen? PPT of course and a Skype chat window with Dave Moyer from www.neocast.org.

I have a MacBook Pro which I use in my classes to take notes. I use the 15-inch model as I previously had a 17-inch PowerBook and it was a bit of a pain (not to mention heavy) lugging it around everywhere.

This is the room to my royal abode AKA my bed. I plaster my walls with photos of my friends and family and surfing and rock climbing photos. Love the extreme sports.

And here is a final shot of my study. Next time, I’ll take you into my royal abode!

Hi guys! Hope you guys are all doing well this week. A quick update to let you know that everything is going along swimmingly. While there is still a lot of older content to transfer and format correctly, I’ve got myself into a rhythm of posting new Neopets news updates every, single day and making sure the faerie crossword and daily puzzle solutions are up. (Has anyone noticed that Neopets changed the position of the daily puzzle as well today?) Just our way of keeping ya’ll up to date and making sure that there’s always fresh content on PPT!
We’ve got a bit of bad and good news. The “bad” news is that we have a backlog of 1,000 Neopets-related articles and guides still sitting in my inbox waiting to be added so I will make sure that a new article is added everyday. (Or I will try my best too!) The great news is that there will always be fresh content! Remember that we’re always looking for Neopets articles, guides, cheats, tips and hints so if you got any, shoot them on over to kym@kymhuynh.com and we’ll add it up faster than you can say, “Please!”
Finally, in the background, you’ll notice my sexy new 20 inch iMac! Yes ladies and gentlemen, now PPT will be updated in style! How fierce are we!! If you’re fierce and you know it, leave a comment and tell us how fierce you are! Yaarr!

In the latest breaking news, Adam Powell and Donna Williams … I repeat … Adam Powell and Donna Williams are still alive! A big thanks on behalf of the PPT members to Adam Powell and Donna Williams for signing the PPT College for us; it makes all our hard work worthwhile to know that the creators of Neopets acknowledges us in some way or other yay. Also a big thanks to Jonny for making our dreams a reality.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for the comments and feedback received regarding PPT’s big overhaul. The response has been overwhelmingly positive with many commenting how much cleaner everything feels, so it looks like the changes are here to stay. There are a lot of things that still need to be worked out, but the kinks will be ironed out over the next few days. I want to thank everyone at PPT again who worked with me non-stop over the past month. Your hard work and dedication has made this possible.
Some reasons why things were changed
- The website was stuck in the 1990s static pages and we wanted to update the entire system. Now was as good as time as any to do so.
- The amount of content was growing everyday with no method of organization. Now, all articles are properly categorized into their appropriate area with the ability to tag them.
- The previous commenting system was flawed. Now the commenting system works and is integrated into the PPT community.
- The previous system didn’t allow PPT accounts to be opened. Now this is possible.
- The entire article system and commenting system are now integrated into the PPT accounts system.
- PPT’s new back end now makes adding and editing articles a seamless process which means more Neopets content and updates everyday.
Finally, some new features on PPT
- We’ve added back the quick links section on PPT which is currently located on the bottom right hand menu. All the latest links have been added.
- Faerie Crossword answers and Daily Puzzle solutions are linked from the top of the chat box.
- The search box will now return results for any article that contains the term you search for. We’re currently working on adding back the game guide navigation system that was available in the last PPT design.
- Each article and news post will have a series of links at the bottom of each post with matches for “related posts”. This will provide extra reading resources should you desire more information about a particular topic.
- There is a tag cloud now that will show what the most topical issues are on Neopets. Clicking on these will take you to all related posts.
If there any any features you would like to see or you think there is anything missing, leave a comment on this post or email kym@kymhuynh.com and we’ll see what we can do.

A big welcome to everyone to PPT 2.0! It had to be done, we had to upgrade from 1999’s static HTML pages to the all new, spanky-danky, interactive version of PPT. We invite you to create an account if you haven’t already and get crazy posting and getting to know one another. Because this is all new to us, we’ll be playing and tinkering around with the website over the next few days and finish converting all the pages. I’d like to thank everyone at PPT who helped transfer over 2,000 pages. You guys are amazing and this would not have been possible without your help: Jonny for his amazing effort in doing so many pages, Alex, Moongewl, LovioNeko, Dylan, and finally Evan and Dave from www.neocast.org who volunteered their time and effort in making this possible.
